#GOXINSANEâ- an independent, private, and highly selective multi-muse starring a multi-range of original women and non-binary humans from my brain!
@goxinsane asked: â it seemed like you really wanted to talk. â (to esmeralda from gemini)
Esmeralda was genuinely taken aback by Geminiâs words. She thought that sheâd done a good job of keeping her bad mood at bay, keeping it from the other woman. Apparently not. âDid it? I just⌠I donât know, Gem. There isnât really anything to say.â Which wasnât exactly true. Really Esme wasnât sure she could find the words to convey her feelings right now. Maybe it would be worth it to try.
The woman sighed, eyes flickering to the floor before refocusing on Gemini. âSometimes I just get tired of fighting for change all the time and not making any real progress, if that makes sense. Like yes we have come a long way but it just isnât enough. Iâll always be the girl with a sign and a megaphone on the picket lines but maybe it would be cool if one day I didnât have to be.â As soon as she said it she felt guilty. Esmeralda loved her job, loved seeing people all come together for causes they believed in. The fatigue was real though, try as she might to ignore it.
âHoney, youâve been workinâ your ass off from day one, no wonder why youâre fatigued.â Without a second thought, Gemini reached for the pitcher of cool water between them and served it to Naomi, in a crystal glass. Practically like family, she treated the other like the sister she never had and with it being a hot and sticky sunny day, keeping hydrated was key, even if she hadnât been on the picket lines. With a sigh, she sat up properly and in her spot, having heard Esmeâs truth finally spill. Was it obvious? Maybe a little, but she always admired the tenacity that came along with her personality. âThat would be a dream, wouldnât it? Just one dayâ poof! All our problems are solved by a flick of the wrist,â Dramatics was in her blood, brought to you by accompanying her own wrist-flick. She took after Mama Hart, clearly. âBut it ainât like youâre not making a difference, even if you donât see it right now.â
Immediately, so many things came to mind that was worth fighting forâ it was just a shame that not everyone could be on board. No wonder the world was going to shit so quick and here Esme was, trying to pick it up quicker than how fast the month of June, aka Pride Month flew by. Gemini was Gemini, no matter how many family members or strangers liked to say otherwise⌠the reality made her frown.
Tapping two freshly manicured nails upon her chin, she attempted to think of a metaphor. âWould you rather feel accomplished knowing everyone lilâ one of your friends played a part, or have one rich bitch come in and take your thunder and credit? Because I see you. My ladies see you. Heck, werenât you just on the radio or television or somethinâ, somethinâ last week?â Deep down, Gemini knew it was much, much more than what was on the surface. And with anything, she didnât blame her for feeling drained. Giving up, however, was not an optionâ that is, unless Esmeralda was positive about it. Either way, mutual support was there. Lacking energy was normal and perhaps she needed more than just a glass of water and advice.
Instead of a concrete answer, Cherry lets silence fill the airâ making her chest feel heavy. She canât look at Lorena. With a glimmer of a serious relationship on the horizon, breaking it off prematurely is the only way she knows how to not be hurt. She ALWAYS wants moreâ more than sheâs able to give, but there is fright and uncertainty. Only sleeping together and sensing her attachment issues come into play was a dangerous mix. Her pinky finger is still wrapped around the others, though itâs becoming clammy. ââŚWhat makes you say that, sweetheart?â
closed starter for:@goxinsane pairing: Brooklyn Thompson & ?? plot: Someone Brooklyn is friends with or someone that she has been dating for awhile. Whatever you want to go with! <3
“My brother has gone insane and not in the best way.” Brooklyn rolled her eyes and huffed a little bit as she sat back in her chair. “He’s known this girl for a couple of months now and he is already talking about putting a ring on it. I’m concerned and totally thinking about calling our parents.”
“Men– period. Am I right or am I right?” There’s a scoff of disgust following her words, as Koko has ZERO shame in being blunt. Momentarily, she glanced up from her phone and towards her girlfriend because the shock was big enough for her to stop scrolling through Instagram. “Oh honey, proposing to my rebound? That makes LITERALLY nosense!” Reaching for her glass, she sipped and enjoyed her favourite white wine before continuing on with her very unhelpful comments. This is how Sunday nights usually went— downtime, to wind down and communicate over a glass of wine. For her, it was important to maintain a healthy relationship, just like her parents and their own marriage and had to partake in conversations like this, even if she wasn’t a particular fan of Brooklyn’s family. That being said, she’d only met the man once.
“I hate, hate, HATE the term, but he sounds like a ‘uhaul-lesbian’,” Koko emphasized with air quotes after putting the glass back down. Her other hand still held her phone– as if it never left her hand– however, the expression and body language that radiated off Brooklyn was enough to put it down all together. Immediately after, she she saw the notifications but ignored them for another beat, unalike something she’d usually do. “For someone too quickly attached, I’d get a third and fourth opinion, so yes, get your parents involved. Is speed dial even a thing anymore? Because this is an emergency.”
closed starter for:@goxinsane pairing: Abel Thompson & ?? plot: Abel has been looking at apartments/lofts to buy. Or your muse and him could be together and have been dating for awhile and decided to get a place together.
“I just don’t know if this place is me.” Abel sighed a little bit, looking around a little bit. Honestly he wasn’t sure what to think of this place. Or maybe he just needed to talk to Riley about it, she was always one that was clear headed enough to help him in the right decision. “But I know this isn’t just about me.”
“I like ya honesty.” Wynonna quips as she keeps up a professional front, despite it just being the two of them in the empty space. In this situation, being a realtor had it’s advantages— she found the swell listings and offered an array to her soon-to-be husband. Apartments were never in the books for her, however, she’s here only here to appease him and hopefully he’d notice how miserable she already was. Wynonna was awfully picky— she wanted more. She deserved more. By the clacking of her heels on the hardwood floor, she returned from the kitchen and leans against the nearest wall, her hands firmly planted on her hips. “This place does tick off MOST of your boxes, ya just don’t wanna settle ‘ere, y’know? I get it.”
The location was good and there was enough bedrooms, but it was too basic. The walls were thin and running up and down between multiple floors would be a pain in the ass— her heels would not last even one trip back from the grocery store. And! And there wasn’t enough leverage in the contract to be able to paint using the trendiest colours. This wasn’t it for her. The realization made her exhale sharply after a beating moment. “Listen, sugar,” Abel loved her, but he should really understand what he was walking into. Did it have to do with money? Pride? Or was he just as picky? “I can’t recall how many times I’d told ya I’d rather look into actual houses. We would have so, so much more freedom that way too.”
Teenagers! They were always to blame in this town. Rebecca’s teen years were never THIS bad… actually, that was an understatement, but she never personally lit someone else’s car on fire. Ignoring the irritated tone of the dispatcher, they were not amused when she called and specifically asked for the fire-chief to tend to the situation, knowing quite well that it would piss him off. Honestly, it was only to take precaution as to what to do next, not escalate the situation and deep down, she knew she could trust Ashford, even if they rarely saw eye-to-eye. She enjoyed fire, but not when it was unprompted or when there were no marshmallows present. This wasn’t an idealistic way to start her day and shift, but at least later she could rely on her best friend and coworker Zelda, to drive her around. With a sharp exhale, she watched customers and bystanders gawk at the scene on the sidewalk and away from her parking lot— keeping themselves at a safe distance. Luckily, her insurance company and the police were called but the cameras on her storefront were shit quality. Her finger’s were crossed that something GOOD would come out of this.
Not moving from her spot, Rebecca noticed the truck pull up and just stood there with her arms crossed. Clearly they listened and were efficient, because the smell of rubber was getting to be godawful. Though, this was better than any movie she had inside— but only told herself that as a joke. Underneath her sunglasses, she narrowed her eyes as she was approached. “Hey, ‘least I still ain’t living in that piece of junk. This gives me a good excuse to by a new vehicle, dontcha think?” Making light of the situation was fine, but she could never forget those long, painful years. The car had too many memories that deserved to BURN. Rebecca Perkins was a different person then, or so she seemed to be. At least now she was financially stable, was her own boss and just living and breathing without the aftermath of almost fucking up her entire life. He might’ve not remembered those days, though she partially said it on purpose. “I can’t tell you who did it though, I was inside.”
Personally, Korda sought out to end her partnerships on a mutual-basis. Just peace; no drama and they were able to split ways and go forth without harbouring any resentment for on another. Knowing that not many people disliked her made her feel good, although there would ALWAYS be those people, even moreso when she attended school. These days, people had an excuse for everything and even held a grudge over the dumbest things. She was a people-pleaser, to say the least but at least the aftermath was often comforting. Life was too short to cause problems. However, her relationship with Ramona was a little more chaotic.
âCrazy sure, Mona, thatâs one way of putting it.â The nickname slipped from her tongue so casually, not having gotten stale or became foreign in her vocabulary. But with a sharp exhale, Korda still ended up shaking her head in disbelief at the situation at hand. However, realization hit with Ramonaâs words on offering to leaveâ it was a kind gesture, but realistically she couldnât. This was a week cruise! Once they were on the boat, there was no turning back, unless the other was adamant on hitching a ride and plane back home once they arrived to their destinationâ the Bahamas, though that wouldâve been just as expensive as this cruise was. Even if it was an option, there was no point as they were both already here and packed. Korda mightâve felt it was a calculated move even if Ramona said otherwise but didnât go forth to bring accusations to the table.Â
Korda plopped her bags down on the nearest chair and crossed her arms to her chest. âHmmm, yep, it sure was already paid for, if you remember, it was an early wedding gift,â It erupts a small chuckle out of her, mostly because the semantics were embarrassing now that she reminisced. Her parents bought the tickets for the year earlier than their planned honeymoon. âDad suggested I still go, even though we broke off our engagement and relationship all together. Thatâs why Iâm shocked. But hey, youâre here, arenât you?â There was awkwardness, that was an understatement in itself, the vibes were totally off. Her eyes didnât know what to focus on as staring at Ramona was difficult. She was still ridiculously beautiful, and Korda knew it. But the safest thing to do was to keep her at an armâs length, though literally at the end of the day, they had to share a bed or one of them would swap for the roomâs couch.Â
âOh, you waited on meâ well, sure, Iâll take advantage of the spa whenever I can, my back really needs a massage. But I canât promise Iâll say much. You can go nuts though.âÂ
